altitude. brian todd is live in roswell, new mexico. wow. that's pretty cool. he was supposed to try it today, but didn't happen because of the weather. what's the plan? >> suzanne, the plan is for them to launch this mission very early tomorrow morning. probably about 8:30 eastern time is when the balloon and the capsule will go up. that's going to take about three hours to ascend and then by about 11:30 eastern time he is slated to basically step out of that capsule and do his jump. 120,000 feet above sea level, and that will set a freefall record. he is going to be actually freefalling roughly 115,000 feet. in the process of doing that, suzanne, he is also going to break a speed record. no one has gone above the speed of sound outside of a capsule. outside of a vehicle. is he iffing to be doing it with just a high pressure suit, a helmet, and a parachute. that is the plan for tomorrow. hopefully 24 hours from now we will be celebrating a successful mission with a healthy and intact felix baumgartner on the ground. they did have to delay it for a day because of high winds here in r

mexico, colorado, nevada, would not have been able to turn those blue and win the election had it not been for the latino vote. in 2010, latinos basically saved democrats from losing the senate, and harry reid says this all the time. so latinos have already been decisive. they could be more decisive. you showed the numbers. if they came out to vote in more numbers. but essentially they will be a very critical part of deciding who the next president will be. and republicans have said that this next candidate, mitt romney, cannot win the white house if he can't get at least 40% of the latino vote. he's nowhere near that right now, randi, so this should be a big problem for republicans. >> amy, latinos say that the democrats have done a much better job in terms of reaching out to latinos and minority voters. what, if anything, do republicans need to do to turn around that perception? is it too late? >> well, interestingly, during the conventions, president obama, he outspent mitt romney 7-1, but the spending that mitt romney did do during his convention was mostly in hispanic media. so y

new mexico. if everything goes to plan, baumgartner will begin the first person to break the sound bear aier witho a -- barrier without the aid of a vehicle. back in april i got a chance to ask him about that special suit he will wear for this moment. >> if you want to go up to an altitude of 120,000 feet you need to have a pressurized suit. reason why, if you cross the line, about 60,000 feet high, water in your blood starts boiling and the pressure suit keeps the pressure with you and it's not going to happen to you. but also at the same time it's very limiting. you have a lack of movement. it's hard to exit the capsule in the suit. that will require a lot of practicing. that's what i did in the past. >> we hope it worked. joining us live from roswell, new mexico, with an update on the launch and final preparations. >>> jetblue and 7-eleven are involved in a new publications battle and using the election to win the war for you. a hybrid? most are just no fun to drive. now, here's one that will make you feel alive. meet the five-passenger ford c-max hybrid. c-max says ha. c-max sa
